As a teenager, Branden Bell was wrongfully accused of a crime. He was handcuffed, taken away from his family, dragged away from his school and thrown into the dungeon of the criminal justice system. The investigators manipulated the evidence against him in an attempt to insure his conviction. He spent days in juvenile detention and fell behind in school. His family, dirt poor, managed to get money together for an experienced criminal defense attorney. At trial, the judge threw out the case against Branden before it ever went to the jury – finding that the prosecution had no case. Branden’s life would never be the same.
Branden A. Bell is an award-winning trial advocate and a nationally recognized courtroom fighter. During law school, he often joked that he spent more time in the courtroom than in the classroom. Splitting his time between the courthouse and the library, he began representing clients during his third year in law school. By the end of law school, he had unprecendentedly led a successful jury trial from start to finish.

After graduating from law school, Branden passed the bar examination in New York before accepting a position teaching International Trade Law at Yang-En University in the Fujian Province of China.

Upon his return the United States, Branden began to assemble The Bell Firm. Branden knew from his own experience that some police officers will stop at nothing to try to convict a person. Those people needed a firm that would stop at nothing to free a person. Branden set out to create that firm – a firm that would stand as a bulwark between his clients and the cruel injustices of the system.

Branden is recognized throughout the region for his trial skills. Because of his experience, he is routinely asked by the federal courts to handle extremely complicated, serious and high-profile cases. He has been asked to speak at numerous conferences and seminars to help educate other criminal defense lawyers on trial practice and evidentiary issues.

In January of 2010, Branden added Carl Folsom III to the firm, creating Bell Folsom, P.A. Carl had spent the last five years working solely on criminal appeals throughout the State of Kansas. Branden and Carl decided to become partners because of their shared belief that everyone is entitled to the best defense.
