Driver’s License Reinstatements

Kansas Attorneys on Driver’s License Reinstatements

On July 1, 2011, Kansas enacted an exciting new law that allows people who have lost their drivers license for alcohol violations or drunk driving (DUI) offense to get their license back. If your license was suspended for one year due to an alcohol infraction, you are entitled to get your license back after 45 days of your suspension. Your suspension will be converted to just a restriction. The terms of the restriction are that you have an ignition interlock installed in your vehicle, and only drive to and from school, home, work, alcohol counseling and the interlock provider.

Losing your ability to drive can destroy your life. With no way to get to work, you can be fired and be left without any way to provide for your family. But this new law allows you to get your license – and your life – back.

The process to get your license back can be daunting – it involves petitioning the Driver Control Bureau of the Kansas Department of Revenue for the change. Our firm has experience in gathering the necessary paperwork and submitting the petition on behalf of our clients. We can handle everything for you. You could be back to driving in 30 days!

If you want your license – and your life – back, contact the experienced attorneys at Bell Folsom, P.A. today.
